Minimalism? My Life is Getting Easier…

Who wants to spend all weekend cleaning and doing laundry raise your hand…!?

Anybody? Hmm that’s what I thought…

well my dear friends I use to hate spending all my weekend washing, folding, ironing and putting away clothes but undfortunately I had too. And while I was doing it I used to think and think and think of a possible way of not having to do it anymore… also asked myself how it was possible that I had so many clothes to wash…

The answer was right in front of me… I had too many clothes so I changed several times a day, also when I was in hurry and didn’t like the outfit I would take it off and leave it on the floor, when the weekend arrived I took everything that was on the floor (was lazy to go through and separate clean from dirty) and would wash everything!!!

One of the first things I did when I decided to become a minimalist was get rid of clothes. Not only this… I also tried to build a capsule wardrobe and identify my style so I would have what they call “uniform”, clothes that I wear in different combinations but all the time…

I got really interested on the Project 333. Which consists in building a capsule wardrobe of 33 items (not including underwear and gym clothes) including shoes, bags and so on.. and wear it for 3 months. At the end of the 3 months you go through your clothes see what is worn off and replace it.

I can tell you my dear friend that I’m not finished with the building of the capsule wardrobe, finding my style identity and my “uniform” but, I spend only 3 hours a week sorting out loundry and it’s fantastic!!! No more clothes on the floor! No more trying stuff on and not feeling comfortable and throwing it on the floor and no more mess in my room… hurray!

It’s a great feeling!!!

Next Tuesday, we will talk about Project 333 and I’ll post some pictures of how I built my capsule wardrobe…

Thank you so much for reading, thank you so much for leaving a comment and if you wish please follow me on Instagram.

  1. Capsule wardrobes are sooo cool! I haven’t made one yet, but I definitely do try to buy clothes that all go well together and can all make nice outfits. 🙂 Becoming a minimalist is a long, gradual process, but you’re doing a great job!! xxx
